Well Im guessing their logic is that once Psystar goes out of business those machines will not work properly. You see Psystar has been having to modify the Mac OS X updates to make them properly install on the machines, thats part of Apple case against them. Once psystar is not there to modify those updates all those machines will no longer receive OS updates and Security updates and the official Apple Updates have the potential to make the system unbootable. Remember psystar has modified many of the OS X files to get it to run on this Non Apple Hardware ones those files are replaced unmodified copies in a OS update the system will not function properly.

Plus there should be no installations of Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware anyway so they have every right to want those machines recalled. I do think the end users should get a full refund, at Psystar's expense  of course.

We kind of agree here. To me, software piracy is stealing, It's just the same as walking into a store and filling your pockets. As for going after the end users, I think Apple is partly to blame because they waited so long to put a stop to this. They should have went after Psystar as soon as the first system went on sale.
I fully agree with you Apple waited far too long, they should have took action the moment the first machine went on sale. Why they waited so long is a mystery to me.

I would say they have the right to have the software uninstalled, but not to the system which is the property of the purchaser.

After all you said:

The key words are "non-Apple hardware" the hardware doesn't belong to apple, so they can want as much as they like the hardware isn't theirs. ifit

True, that part of the lawsuit is the least likely to go through. And if the recall does not go through they might find a way to disable the installations through a future software update.

That assumes that they will bother with software updates, much the same as those with non-legit versions of windows avoiding windows update and WGA.

Do you ever need to pass a file onto a friend?
A great way to share files is through MediaFire. You can share an unlimited number of files on MediaFire, as
long as each file is under 100MB. You can link to your MediaFire files from within MySpace or a blog. Use
folders to easily share groups of files or create galleries for all your images. No registration necessary and
no software to install.
Why would you use this services? Besides the fact that it's free, you can keep frequently used files online for
easy access from any computer with an internet connection.
Here's an example of just one of the files I have stored there:

Microsoft to closely copy Apple's Business Model, Offer more complete experience:

http://www.macworld.com/article/134680/2008/07/ballmer.html

Apple latest success is apparently getting to Microsoft as people are seeing the benefit of Macs, now they are thinking of changing their relationship with PC makers to provide a more complete and Apple like experience. Seems almost everyting they do they have to imitate someone else  ::)

As long as they don't copy Apples pricing policy, it's fine with me.  ;D

I agree with Bob - I love them giving me the benefits of mimicking Apple and giving me all of the advantages of the wider Windows world for much lower prices.

I hope that the Apple users can be happy with their "holier than thou" views while paying for all the Windows benefits I enjoy.

Did Apple forget to patch something?

Yes it seems that there is a problem with the BIND installation in Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) client. Leopard Systems (10.5) Are apparently Unaffected.

Its not likely that Apple "forgot" to patch it, more likely something is not working right with the installer. In the past when this has happened they have just issued a updated installer package through Software update.

EDIT: Ive seen some people saying that this is by design, Since there is no mention of Mac OS 10.4 servers and only the clients are showing this behavior. Ill keep digging and post back.
