Did Apple forget to patch something?

Apparently it affects Mac OS X Leopard Clients too (10.5.x).

Note that Apple has patched the Server versions of Mac OS X (Both 10.4 and 10.5) its just the client versions that there seems to be a problem with.

Quote
The SANS Institute installed and tested out Apple's fix for the underlying flaw in the domain name system (DNS) protocol, and found that a patched copy of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (the desktop version, not Leopard Server) still suffers from the risky technique makes DNS vulnerable to exploitation.

This exploitation, so far, seems extremely unlikely, but we won't know how unlikely until security researcher Dan Kaminsky, the discoverer of this flaw, provides full disclosure on 06-Aug-08 in his Black Hat conference talk, "Black Ops 2008: Its (sic) the End of the Cache as We Know It."

All I've got to say: I don't see anything wrong with it :) . Its good; instead of learning just plain computer science, there is actual application and analysis of it.

Macs, Aperture a Big hit at the Olympics
Quote
In the digital photo editing area of the Kodak Photographer’s Center—a massive workroom located in the main press center at the Olympic park—hundreds of photographers at a time assemble to file their images using high-end workstations and tech-support supplied by Apple (the same was true at the 2006 winter games in Turino, Italy). Meanwhile, rows of Lenovo computers sit idle.

Does Psystar have a case in Apple countersuit?

This is just one persons opinion.  :)

Saying Apple has a monoply of the Mac market is like saying GM has a monolpy of the Chevorlet market since they are the only onces making Chevys. Or Sony having a monoply of the Playstation 3 market since you cant install the Playstation 3 OS on a Xbox ::). Its just crazy Apple has far from a monoply in the OS market. So if you want a Mac buy one and stop whining.

Psystar has no case against Apple, and Apple has a very strong one aginst them. Time will tell how much money Psystar has to keep trying to get out of this.

I'm more than willing to buy the Mac Operating System from Apple. It's the hardware that I can't
afford to buy from Mac.
I can buy I cheaper elsewhere !!!!  :)
