They don't make it easy do they ;D

The biggest problem is that you might do something in good faith, believing it to be legit and then fall foul to the dreaded WGA :P

The only way I'll ever use OSX is if I can run it as an emulation on my Windows 7 OS.  :) ;D :)

And the discussion on this subject continues to grow:

Is it really necessary to bring this up again?  ::) You know that Apple will not allow it to be installed on non-Apple hardware and they forbid emulation/virtual environments as well. The only way you will ever be using it is if you Buy a Mac or if Apple is forced to license the OS in court.

Now that's agreat idea. :) Maybe it's time to file a suit against them for monopolizing.
They did it to Microsoft.   Turnabout is only fair play.  ;D

This happens every few weeks here and its getting old very very fast.

How does Apple have a monopoly with <10% of the computer market? Thats far from a monopoly. And if you are trying the "Monopolizing the OS X market" crap that Psystar tried then dont even go there.  Tons of companies have Proprietary Operating systems that they restrict to their own hardware. Every Game console has its own OS, Every media Player, etc. No one is forcing them to license their software.

They developed the software they get to decide who they want to sell it to or if they want to keep it to themselves. The only parts that they have to release are the parts that where they used Open Source software. And they do make that Source code available on the developer website.

Microsoft had over 90% of the market and were using that to force its standards on users (Internet Explorer, Windows Media, etc) thats why they were sued.

I cant and never will understand why people obviously want to use OS X but don't want to buy the hardware to run it and then they whine when they can not run it on their PC. It drives me up the wall, through the roof and halfway to Mars.

And One thing I can never stand is when people Compare Apple to Microsoft's monopoly, its well ARRRGH  >:(

Cheers.

While I have not used an Apple computer in about 20 years (we had a few at DuPont back in the '80s - Mac2, Lisa, etc), I also see Mac's point. I really do not see why this has to keep coming up.

We can't all afford that expensive hardware of a apple mac. (from what i have seen Apple seems to sets itself up as the high-end premium computer in the market)
Windows/PCs control <90% of the market because they realised that 90% of that market consumers only needed low end computers. (simple logic)
Although i must confes, i do enjoy using the simple interface of a mac, a nice change from the horrid windows interface.

Forgive my ignorance, but maybe because this is also a discussion forum?

Needling Mac about it won't make it happen. Pardon me if I am wrong, Mac, but I do not believe he is high enough up the Apple "food chain" to make this sort of change happen. Instead, this needling him only serves to hurt his feelings and possibly make him leave the forum.

Perhaps this Apple page might be the place to address your concerns.

What's New in Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC)

I've Been duel booting the RC and Vista since it came out and I'm REALLY impressed, So much so that I'm thinking about going all 7.

Here's another great resource for info about 7.

http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/

Just an update, I'm still impressed with 7, but I have had IE8 crash a few times since the install (4-5). I think this is Windows 7 related since it hasn't happened on Vista. Hopefully this will be fixed before RTM.
