Background scan disabled

A lot of times when I open my computer computer (last version of avast free) I found the Background scan disabled, no idea why, and it occurs in all my computers that I have.

The worst thing of that is that ther isn't any warning of that is happening, only a small cross on the avast logo int he window task bar (if you see it)

So the thing is that most of time I'm without antivirus without know it.


It already happen in an all version of avast, but it was fixed.

I've already try to reinstall.
Windows 10 last update.

What exact version of avast ?
Is there any other security (related) software installed or was there ?
Already performed a repair of avast ?
Already performed a clean installation of avast ?

I have windows 10 with the last update, avast version 12.3.2280
I 'm using Zone alarm free firewall (only firewall)
And I've alredy tried to reinstall avast

Zone alarm needs to go.
Although you can select to only install the firewall, it also installs components of their av as well and that is causing conflicts.

- Remove ZoneAlarm
- Check if avast is working properly.
If not, perform a repair of avast and check again.
If still not working, perform a clean installation of avast (do not only remove avast through control panel but also use avastclear )
