Scanners warnings
« on: February 17, 2006, 02:48:39 PM »
I recently had to install something called "Netxl" web accelerator required by my ISP onto my window 2000 computer.
The Netxl won't run correctly as it is having conflicts with something else on the computer, so I removed it.
But while it was on and since, whenever I boot or restart the computer avast pops up warnings telling me  (Mail Scanner Warnings)avast will not be able to protect incoming mail(pop3);
avast will not be able to protect incoming news;
avast will not be able to protect incoming outgoing mail(SMTP); all error10091.
Can anyone tell me how to correct this situation?
I'd rather have avast running properly than re-install the accelerator.
Thank you.

Try a repair of avast that may fix it.

Go to add/remove programmes in control panel - select avast - select remove you will then be given the option to change, remove, something else and repair (you may need to scroll down to see that ) select repair, you need to be online for this to work..
