Avast 4.6 chest problem
« on: February 19, 2006, 07:39:18 PM »
Having installed Avast on to a laptop running XP, when I try to acess the chest it comes up with an error message saying

Initialization of Chest files

Action was completed with errors!

Can anyone help me in understanding this problem, and give me advice on what to do? Have I set somwthing up wrong?

Cheers for any help,

Does it eventually get into the chest ?
What errors, is there anything more in the avast! Log Viewer about this ?

Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select 'avast! Anti-Virus,' click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.
