malware-gen and evo-gen?

im just curious what is the difference between malware gen and evo gen. they both heuristic detection or hips detection?

Not so new, given it is from 2012, I wonder just how far it progressed.

I can recall this avast report on the use of GPU for analysis and that had a couple of photos. I don't know where these photos are now that they had in this old report.
