Avast Virus updates fail with Invalid File Signature
« on: December 26, 2016, 05:00:36 PM »
Hi

I am having problems with this and have noticed that my Avast virus signatures have not updated for 2 months (even though the front page say 'Everything up to date'). I get this message when I trigger the update in the UI - It appears that the files all download then it says something like 'sending status' and finally just says Invalid signature update cancelled.
I have tried to manually download the vps file but it does nothing (doesn't appear to even run).
I have uninstalled Avast and reinstalled it - no change.
I have uninstalled my Firewall and disabled Windows Firewall - no change.

I have Version 12.3.2280 which it says is the latest version.
I'm running Windows 10.

Anyone got an idea what may fix this before I give up and use a different Virus protection?

Thanks
