Avast Anti-Thief - Will It Track When Powered Off?
« on: January 01, 2017, 10:15:32 PM »
I am curious if a burglar who may steal my device and turned it off the device to prevent it from being tracked, will Avast Anti-Thief still track? I know for sure the Android Device Manager will not track once turned off.

 :)

No. There is not a technology that tracks an off device (at least, not a consumer technology :)).

How can it track if it is switched off, as far as I'm aware it would require the GPS and any other service to be functioning to locate and transmit the data.

Surely this would need power as presumably would be the case in any other tracker.
