Avast Free AV disables itself randomly
« on: January 03, 2017, 12:51:24 PM »
I read a couple of forums and it seems that it is a bug that is was easily fixed just by updating. However I just installed Avast on a freshly installed Windows 10 Pro pc. Updating doesn't do anything for me. I was hoping Avast could address this issue on my machine.

Perform a real clean installation of the latest avast version and see if that solves the problem.

- Remove avast through control panel
- Run avastclear
- Remove all leftover folders/files/registry entries
- Install the latest avast version using the offline installer

If that doesn't solve the problem, run Farbar and attach two logs two your next post (FRST.txt and Addition.txt)
