Why ads now. I'm not going to purchase a free antivirus.
I was happy with avast but I'm not upgrading as i was happy with what i had.
Please remove the ads or i will be removing avast from my device and using a competitors antivirus. thank you

The ads have been there for many years.

Ofcourse you don't buy a free application.
If you had to buy it, it wouldn't be free :P

You can disable the ads in the paid versions.

All free av's that I have seen are displaying ads.

As they say "You get what you paid for".

Every single free software I have has ads.

If you don't like ads don't drive your car. Advertising is everywhere.
I buy a newspaper and what do I get? Advertising on virtually every page.
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.
