The tutorial on certs ( article=AVKB91 ) is out of date.

Is there a tutorial on certs that covers current software. I followed the instructions in AVKB91. I was told to make sure the Avast cert was in Authorities, it was. And then delete any... Oops. I didn't notice that it specified "Avast Mail Scanner" on the Servers tab. So I deleted the pop.cal.net:110, mail.cal.net:587 and one other that probably should have been a while ago. Well as soon as I went to email something up came the the error screens and I made the exceptions and the pop and mail exceptions were back. Thunderbird works fine but the TB forums think there's something wrong. Anyway, the tutorial didn't say these exceptions would be needed to get everything going. So I'm hoping someone can tell me if this is normal and if not what I need to do to get things up to speed. Thanks, David
