Why not scan qbittorrent download. See viruses only when manually scan.

How do you have the torrent configured?

avast scans the traffic from any torrent application (web shield).
After a file is downloaded (and it doesn't matter if it through the torrent protocol or otherwise), there is no need for avast to scan it.
The file(s) will be scanned "on access" (file shield).
