There should be an 'avast antivirus' entry in the Add/Remove applet in Control Panel - just click it and select Uninstall.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

dis...

Technical has a good point.  Is there anything we can do for you to keep you an Avast user?

Was it that you had problems, or was it just that it did not suit your needs?

The Pro version is a heck of an antivirus program which should meet anyone's anti-virus protection needs.

Hey, you managed to get it installed and you can't figure out how to uninstall?  Give us a break!

And a wave broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the Captain did, too,
T'was the witch of November come stealing.

Culpeper,

You really do need to improve your diplomatic skills.

Remember, not all visitors here are knowledgable about computers.

.....but the thought did cross my mind also.

My first clue that the poster isn't really serious is his user ID.  "Disappointed" is not a very diplomatic User ID for someone that is truly looking for a  little assistance.

Unfortunatelly (for him), I agree with you Culpeper...
Anyway, disappointed, maybe you can come back and said something...  ;D
