Protection menu re-design proposal (Mark 3)
« on: January 28, 2017, 11:50:22 AM »
Ok, I've already posted this in the internal dev channel, I'm just interested in broader opinion from users here.

I'm aware avast! team is very time limited at the moment, which is why I went on re-using pretty much everything existing and just shuffled everything around. Surely experienced developer could quickly move existing things around.

As for the Behavior Shield, some of the proposed things aren't yet there (flip switch, count of analyzed and blocked programs and the graph for it), but I'm hoping they could still pull it off because it would just look and feel awesome.

Also, the idea was that clicking on shield's name would transfer you directly to given shield's main settings, so you can access controls for each shield directly from here without the need to go through "Settings" button, then to Components and then click Customize next to appropriate shield.

I'd also like to see firewall stats of incoming/outgoing traffic but other than that, it's very good.
