AOS and SP extensions are now installed only on FF v48+
Thanks, that explains why it won't install with FF ESR.

Hi,

i have AOS installed (FF51.0.1), only the settings are not saved permanently.

TerraX

Hi Terrax,
When you update avast, extenions are removed and replaced with newer version.
This process reset your settings to default.

I'm aware. Firefox close, Firefox start, Settings again on default.
Perhaps I try a new installation of Avast.

TerraX

Addition: In the Internet Explorer the settings are saved.

I can't even tell how AOS work because I can't even install it into Firefox. Been ranting over this for weeks and nothing has been done ::)

There are quite few nice subtle touches to the interface which is nice. Though, AOS browser extension still just doesn't load into Firefox which is very annoying because I can't even test it then.

Hi RejZor,
please check your FF version.
AOS and SP extensions are now installed only on FF v48+

I'm using Firefox 51.0.1 64bit. I always update Firefox as soon as new version is out. And it's just not adding the AOS addon to FF.

I found a small glitch in the UI; this seems to be localization related as there is no problem when I set language to English.

Any other language users can confirm this?

The bottom image (Japanese GUI) contains a combination of Japanese and English text when it should be all Japanese text.

If Non means the unfinished translation, I can confirm it for the German GUI. (Screenshot attached)

I suppose all captions should be aligned right of switch, while Japanese version not.

There are some untranslated strings around the UI, of course it is also a problem...

We're faced with a problem about Web Shield. We sometimes cannot open the websites until it turns down, like the famous Sina. Once we found the Firewall suspicious, the websites can't be opened still when closed. Web shield, however, is off the way in Firewall. On this occasion, it's amazing that we reopen them, which couldn't be switched on when shield's on.

My issue with the web shield is it noticably reduces download speeds on fast connections.  Therefore I no longer install it.
