Exception in polymorph virus code

hi i am new to avast 4.6 home. whenever i scan my computer after scanning it shows against every files/folders the result that"Unable to scan:Exception in polymorph virus code" ??? i am unable to understand this. though it is taking normal time in scanning  and also showing 'no virus ' but with the result mentioned above is it safe to be satisfied with the scan?

Looks like emulator jammed with particular poly sample. But i guess only Alwil guys can help on this one since i'm just guessing...

Are you talking about the boot-time scanner, or "regular" scan from withing Windows (e.g. using the Simple User Interface)?

i am talking about regular scan (standard scan ).

1. does the problem persist even after you restart the computer?

2. what version of Windows do you have, exactly? Ideally, could you post a screenshot of the window "Help" -> "About Windows" (in Explorer) -- as the one attached.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
