How web page gets "bad reputation" label?
« on: February 01, 2017, 08:18:37 PM »
I ask it, because Conservapedia is having "bad reputation" label. It seems like result of some voting system abuse or what? I hope Avast is not waging dirty ideological war.

Don't look surprised that people are giving it a real low rating.
The site has a lot of articles that are plain and proven lies, contain (at least likely) racism etc.

That bad reputation isn't coming from Avast:

@ Bob did you actually visit the site as it doesn't replicate what appears to be a search resu;lt showing it is safe.

I visited the site and the AOS gives it as the site has a bad rep.

My screenshot was from a search for the site.

I thought that was the case, what is strange is the difference in the search result of AOS and the actual visit to the site. If a search result listing showed it as Amber, then perhaps people wouldn't click through.

Thank you for answers. I learned not to trust "bad reputation" label, as it is more like ideological tool rather than useful warning. Glad to read that Avast has nothing to do with it.

That type of biased is prevalent any time the rating is user based.
