The Settings GUI is finally OK. I understand the most important thing is to have a good working (free of bugs) usable interface, and great protection, and only then make the interface better and better with monthly updates schedule. Some things that i think should not go in the release version... The "Running" thing when a scan is running shouldn't show 4 seconds after you opened the antivirus section of the UI, but instantly. Also, one should not have to go to status and then come back to antivirus to see the "Running" thing actually moving. It should show everytime when both conditions are met - (1) a scan is running and (2) the antivirus section of the UI is currently shown. Also, the boot scan has a scheduling in the settings!!! I mean, what??? It is different than the other scans, you schedule that scan by clicking the button. You should also make the option to unschedule it by clicking the same button again as it was in previous avast versions. Fix the name in the settings for that scan as it is currently "??".
The GUI is not as dark with green and orange as i thought it would be good, but it is okay. It works now (or after you fix the known issues), but it is far from feeling a good interface. You would have to work hard on it after the release. Another thing that i think you have to do is to make the padding in the items popup smaller. When you click protection what shows is the worst part of the interface.
To work on this after bugfixes of current GUI and stable integrated protection modules are released:
Improvements have been done but far from what is needed to love it when you see it. In the left part, where there are only 3 buttons now, maybe show "Status", "Protection","Privacy", "Performance" and "Quarantine". And this is the time when you realise that you have done the buttons too big to fill the space instead of utilizing it better. Make the proposed buttons show constantly in the left. A little darker on hover as it is now is good. On click (active) they can become orange, like the brand is. That mix of purple, violet and blue is certainly not good. The thing that currently opens when you click some of the buttons should take the whole space, not only 85% nor 90% width. It should be dark, with buttons of 3 groups: installed features, available with your license but not installed, and available with upgrade only. There should be blank rows (margins) between the rows with buttons to visually separate better what is available and what is not installed and what is available after upgrade. One should be able to install and uninstall features right from there without the need of going to control panel, and also should be able to upgrade with 2-3 clicks from there. Settings should be merged with the new GUI and each feature should have its own button with own settings instead of everything in one settings panel. The current settings and schedule buttons on top of the features will make it. The upgrade button should go on the place of the current BETA. So the title will say: Avast Free Antivirus with an upgrade button next to it. Avast Pro antivirus (maybe with an upgrade button next to it) and so on. You can put something usefull on its current place like a news feature or something else that will popup when you click it.
