I have had to unsubscribe after paying £14.99 twice in 2 years last year I didn't get a working programm and this time nothing but interference informing me of viruses. Then after scanning asking me for a further£14.99 that I've already paid. Used to be good, but now rubbish.

Ok, this is confusing. avast! doesn't ask you to pay anything to clean detected malware. Are you sure you're using avast! from www.avast.com ? Might sound dumb, but something just doesn't sound right here.

Do you have a screenshot of what you see?  it may be fake alerts

all avast messages should have avast name and logo
