Hello everyone.
I just updated both my laptop and tablet to the latest version of Avast.
I had problems with both of them, so I made a clean installation in both devices.
Now, the tablet has a problem when scanning (with the full scan), because when it starts, the scan percentage doesn't change the value. Apparently, the scan still completes (because you can see the results in the scan history), but you don't receive any notifications, sounds, anything. This doesn't seems to happen in the laptop.
Now, I will do a small list of problems (or bugs) that I have foound until now.
- As other people have said, the main window is too big for devices that have low resolution (in my case, the tablet have a small resolution of 1024x640)
- If Avast have a password, you can't do the smart scan without typing you passwod (you should be able to do the scan without doing that)
- On the older versions of Avast, the boot-time scan had a different settings windows when compared to the other scnas. Now it has the same setting windows, but the scan name is labeled as "?", so I don't know if I can make changes in here.
Both Avast Online Security and Avast SafePrice doesn't seems to work here (Firefox 51.0.1 32 bits). It does seems to work sometimes, but yeah, sometimes it just doesn't work, and I have to restart Firefox.- There some parts of the GUI that it's in English (while I'm using the portuguese version). Not anything too serious.
- When you do the file explorer scan (left click on a file, choose to scan with Avast), it still uses the old can percentage interface (I uploaded a screenshot)
- When you do the boot-time scan, there's no results of it in the scan history, so I don't know the results of the scan.
EDIT: I discovered a "fix" for the bugged scan.
If you close and reopen the Avast window, it will show the current percentage, but to update the value, you ahve to keep closing and opening it.
