Safezone - and Adobe Flash
« on: February 10, 2017, 05:55:26 AM »
Flash won't play in my safezone browser. I just did a computer reset and installed safezone. I am a paying customer.  When I go to settings, this is switched on to:   Detect and run important Flash content (recommended)  But the video won't play. It worked before I did a computer reset. I use Windows 10. Help please.

Works for me.. http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/help/en/flash/

Please verify you have flash enabled in the browser (browser://plugins) and if possible, update the flash via adobe website.

If it does not help, share some example of website where it does not work. Thanks

1. Uninstall Adobe flash player you you have any
2. Download the latest flash player from adobe website
3. Install it
4. Restart browser and verify plugins page

This must work.

Make sure any browser is closed before running the installation.

Hello Eddy,

For number 4 you say restart browser (which i did) and verify plugins page.  Where is the plugins page?  The sound is working, but not the video. Please help. Thank you for your time.

Eddy, I'm sorry for all of the replies. I read in one forum that there is an issue with the video and Avast and that their is a hot fix out.  How do I update my browser so I can get the hotfix? I never done that before. Thank you.

It is necessary to install the plugin. Full offline installers have at https://helpx.adobe.com/ru/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html
It is necessary to download the file https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_ppapi.exe
After restarting the plugin to appear in the browser menu. After the upgrade, the browser may have to repeat it.

To update the browser, either do it through the settings of the browser or install the latest avast version.
