I'm glad you said that, I was thinking it but had I mentioned it I'm sure someone would have thought I was bashing MS. I have a very suspicious nature and for a 16MB pen drive, I wouldn't give them (or anyone else for that matter) any details.

Yes true, but I was thinking little bit different while giving them my information... I already gave them those information twice... two Windows XP OSes registered to my name with full info already released... so third time in order to get that pen drive (even though I have my DaneElec 512 Mb, more than enough for all my needs because I always bring my laptop with me anyway) didn't look like some extra info released from my part. That MS pen in its full colors just looked too adorable from the designing point of view, so I though why not...  ;D  ;D  ;D

This is my little baby... small, but it does its job...

I don't think I'll get one from MS, so I have bought one by myself. It's 128MB only, but it's very handy. Especially with Opera@USB inside. Browsing at university like in my home!  ;D

The large one hold the memory card from my camera right now.
The other one is a 512 MB Attaché loaded with apps.

Hahaha !!! Yes, it looks it would... the biggest problem is because I know many of my US friends never received it either... and they said "US ONLY".

Other question pops-out... why did they include all other countries in that drop down menu (during the registration process) when they knew in the beginning that they will not send it outside US ?  ::)  ::)  ::)

I posted a screenshot in this same thread:

Honestly it wouldn't kill such huge corporation if they'd send few USB thumbdrives to europe ::) Not to mention Canada which is just few clicks away from Redmond. Nice way of collecting personal info regardless of all privacy protection BS statements.

Outrageous ! It looks like they really want to make more enemies than friends... I mean, don't get me wrong, not because of this small non-important USB drive, but because of the way they deal with people in general. Why do they do that ? For sure they don't need to do that, but still they do those things...  ::)

I agree with you Sasha Microsoft is just making more enemies, it wouldn't be a huge deal for them to send USB drives to Europe or Canada and Canada is next to the US. It is ridicules but there is nothing any of us can do about it.
