mime types excluded
« on: March 04, 2006, 11:39:10 PM »
   Hi,

Probably a very basic question, but I couldn't find the answer in the Help file of Avast and a search for "mime types" in the forum apparently didn't show want I wanted:
By default, in the web scanner of Avast, some mime types are excluded. Shall I leave them as they are, or could I improve protection if I do not exclude anything?
In the main scanner there are also some things (areas) excluded by default, but the help file mentioned it should be left as it comes.

   Thanks in advance,
   acaetano.

If I were you, I won't change the default settings of exclusions.
At least, I won't remove entries from there.
The removed areas or file types are not unsecure and you'll scan them for nothing just loosing resources.  ;)
