A full vps or just streaming update?
That's all I know, but it sounds more like a full vps update.
Confirmed, should be out in around 1 hour or less.

Interesting to read what people are experiencing. I've been pottering about on FF all afternoon and haven't had a single detection (and I do have the problematic VPS installed), however when my quick scan ran it detected about 40 files, almost all of which of which are OS files, and they all have the same VBS:Malware Gen. I have not applied any action and am just awaiting the fix. Worried in the mean time it's going to corrupt my system even with no action taken, as I vaguely remember reading on the forum a while ago that avast will still block access to a file it has detected even if you choose do nothing. :/ I can leave the computer alone but it still does stuff in the background which I'm sure would involve some of those detected windows files.

I feel less anxious knowing that it isn't just me that is getting these avast warnings. I had thought I had some kind of virus that was redirecting all my browsing (I'm using Mozilla firefox)  :-\

My Malwarebytes scan didn't pick up anything, but avast picked up around 48 objects, but I suppose those are all false positives. I did a good thing not deleting any of those detections...?

I was freaking out and trying to clean my PC. Did a full pc scan and found ~92 infected files after scanning 6% so i panicked and started a boot time scan.

Needless to say it "cleaned" over 3 THOUSAND files before i found this post on my phone and stopped it. Is my PC toast? Any chance to undo a lot of the damage?

I tried to do a system restore but it failed. :(
