Bob,

I read these words in an old thread and thought it would be good to remind you of them:

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

My prayers are with you and Alice.

Thanks to all of you who replied to my "Please Help Alice" appeal.
At a time like this, all of the well wishes and prayers
are greatly appreciated and mean more then you'll
probably ever know.

A sincere thanks also to any one who was able to help financially.

I again urge all of you to become organ donors.
I promise it's painless and easy to do and could help so many
who can no longer help themselves.

If this helps to save just one life, then I'll have no regrets for having made this HelpAlice appeal.

I have been an organ donor for more than 10 years. It even says so on my drivers license card. My family also knows my desire for this. After I am gone from this world, I hope someone can be helped with what is left.

Hi,

have been watching Avast forum without logging in as I forgot my forum-ID and previous nickname too.

Just re-created one to reply to this topic.

Health is something most of us take for granted, which is understandable. Only if something starts to go wrong you realise this.

All the best! Lots of strenght wished (which I am pretty sure has already been needed)

PS: I am organ donor (by law as in my country you are so by law, unless you explicitly reject.  My country sometimes makes good laws)

Best regards,

Anothermack

anothermack,
I fully agree!!!! Wish my country would pass a similar law. ;D

(They do it to allow increases in our elected officials salaries with out having to actually vote for the increase. >:()

Hello Bob,

I hope my little donation will help in some way (I just received a confirmation mail that transfer was successful), and I trully wish our frineds from this forum and many other forums will do the same... if we all unite and if we all are determined in our goals, I am sure we can change this World for better... at least one piece of it... slow, but that's the way... when one builds his house, he needs to do that brick by brick... we have to do the same.

Cheers Bob and THANK YOU for your friendship !  ;)

I've already answered that one in a more private manner. :) :-* (Kiss is for MaryAnne)

A further update:
Alice is scheduled for one more infusion at our hospital on Tuesday morning.
Once that procedure is done, we'll leave directly from there and should arrive in Dallas on Wed.
She's also moved up one more notch on the list. :)

Well, yes... but, private or not, this thread is already public so people should know that things started to roll and I trully hope we all will be of some help there.

Take care

Edit: check your e-mail... I sent you two more wallpapers ;)

Right now I'm working on a Gateway Mobil AMD Athelon64.
It's going to be my communication lifeline till we get back home.
Thanks to my youngest daughters boss, who bought this unit and is letting
me break it in for him.  ;D
Since Gateway has a recovery CD, it will be easy to restore the computer
to it's original condition after we get back.
Unfortunately since this is actually used in for business, they have Panda installed on here. :'( :'(
Not my choice but since I didn't foot the bill, I can't really complain.

More updates as they occur.

We are now staying at and ExtendedStay America facility in Dallas.

We had expected to leave Albuquerque at about noon on Tuesday but got delayed till 5:30 cause Alice needed a blood transfusion before they would clear her for the trip.

Her meld score has been upgraded to 20 which puts her back to no. 2 on the list.

I again want to thank my youngest daughters boos for the use of this great laptop. :)
THANKS JW greatly appreciated. :D  :D

(No David it's a great machine but the desktop is still faster... ;D)

Sitting in a motel all day isn't very exciting.
Waiting for one phone call is even worse.
I was never known for my patience but am sure learning to develop some.
I guess I have no choice.
Alice sleeps most of the time. Occasionally she'll open her eyes to watch a little TV.
Recipes greatly accepted.
We have a stove, Microwave but no oven.
Eating out would be nice but price wise quite prohibitive.
