[Solved] Android Emulator Issue
« on: February 23, 2017, 05:23:42 AM »
Well, I use Nox as my android emulator. I normally run 2 instances. Before I reinstalled my windows, was using Avast 16 series. For some problem I needed to reinstall Windows. After it when I installed, now it is Avast 17 series(installed just day ago). Problem is this time Avast is causing huge problem. It won't let me run Nox 2 instances smoothly. Whenever I run them it slows down emulator. To recheck what is the real problem, I reset my bios, upgraded RAM to double size etc. But nothing worked. Interestingly, after a long while I just decided to recheck things after avast uninstall. And you know what? All of my emulator instances are running fine. See, just for this, what I have to go through. Last 3 days were hell for me. Not only that, to examine it further, I have installed some other Android emulator too. All behaves same. So, It must be the Avast that must be repaired.

Would you please resolve this problem? I'm totally pissed off! Either you resolve this or I've to recheck another antivirus. But you know what? I have been using Avast since last 10 years almost (started using when you had some winamp player interface like UI). Please, fix this issue!

Find out what exact part of avast is causing.
I suspect it is the behavior shield.

Disable the other shields one at a time and see if it makes a difference.

OK, I'll check it once I get back home. Do I have to restart PC after every disable or I can check it without reboot?

Well, I just tested it all! Even I tried it with all shield offline but no luck. Last thing that only helped is "Uninstall"! Can you please give me a link to download Avast 16 series? I wanna download the latest of that series only. I no longer want this Avast 17. I'm really fad up now!

My PC Configuration:
Processor: Intel Core i3 3.7 GHz (6th Generation)
RAM: 12GB DDR4 with 2400 bus
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 2XX series, 1G DDR5
HDD: 1TB SATA 7200 RPM, 6 GB/s speed

Just find out how to resolve this problem.
go Avast setting -> Troubleshooting -> find the "Enable hardware-assisted virtualization" and disable it, than reboot.
Now my Nox emulator works fine. Hope this information can help.
