How to remove this:Win32:Trojano-2773
« on: March 07, 2006, 08:37:23 AM »
Hi!
Everytime I restart my PC, the AVAST always detects that there's a virus being detected  which is Win32:Trojano-2773. I always try to remove or delete it but during restart it always appear.
Can someone direct me to the link in removing this malware?

THanks!

Hi leighton,

We need to know the name and location of the malware file.

If the location is in System Restore, this means Windows is protecting a copy of the malware file in an inactive form: you will need to turn off System Restore and reboot to remove these files. (Don't forget to turn it back on again.)

Do a forum search for more details.

Have you tried a boot time scan with avast!?

This will remove some files protected by Windows during a normal boot.

(A forum search will bring up more info including screen shots of how to do this.)

You also need to run specialist scanners to look for Trojans and spyware and the registry entries associated with these. There are some good free ones:

Ewido http://www.ewido.net/en/ (Requires Windows 2000/XP)

     and/or a-Squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

After that, download, install, update and scan with the following programs, preferably in safe mode (tap F8 while booting.)

Ad-Aware http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/

Good luck!
