I will guarantee to you that support hasn't stopped for the avast! Endpoint Protection line, nor is it anywhere close to being dropped from support. And I suspect that it will be continued for 5 years!

Strangely, this lack of VPS update had the perfect timing to let the v5-v8 Avast users out of this terrible false positive mess  :P :
