Firefox Developer Compatibility
« on: February 26, 2017, 08:41:20 PM »
I recently got a new MacBook Pro and installed Firefox developer edition as my secondary browser to Safari. I remember having trouble with Avast's HTTPS scanning feature on my previous laptop, but I figured out I could get around the issue simply by installing Firefox before installing Avast. This no longer seems to be the case. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what were you able to do to fix it? I would prefer to still be able to use the HTTPS scanning feature as I prefer using Safari in most cases due to it being easier on my battery. I noticed that the Avast Online Security add-on icon in Firefox is greyed out if that helps.

Can you be a little bit more specific about the issues you have with the HTTPS scanning? Without more info, it is really hard to suggest you a solution. One can for example disable HTTPS scanning only for Firefox through confihuration files, but such "solutions" may not be exactly what you want/need.
