Avast Registry Issues
« on: March 01, 2017, 12:55:13 PM »
I have the latest version of Avast installed but there have been for weeks, registry issues related
to Avast which show up using Ccleaner registry scan. Ccleaner has been unable to resolve these issues, so they show up every time and remain a cause for concern and intrigue.
Does anyone have any answer/suggestion to the cause of the problem ?
Here is a screenshot of the Ccleaner reg scan result:-

Those are remnants of the old NG in avast.
You can safely remove them with e.g. regedit.
You might need to disable the avast self defense  before you can do so.

Thanks Eddy for your quick reply. Since posting I have searched further on this issue via Google
and previous posts on this forum and have a better understanding of it.
The consensus of opinion is that the old registry entries do not cause a conflict with the later Avast
program and will not affect anything else running smoothly. So I have decided not to persue the
matter further with regedit etc.
Thanks for your advice on the subject.
