Weird hiccups during Avast update
« on: March 01, 2017, 02:45:59 PM »
So I just installed the update for 17.2.2088, but when I allowed Avast to perform reboot, I got Windows 10 notification that showed "Windows has ran into a problem and needs to shut down" and had a timer of 10 secods. After that my PC booted normally, though desktop loaded a bit slowly. At startup I saw Windows Defender logo saying it was running, but it turned into "disabled" notification soon after Avast launched. everything worked fine after that, but for some reason my MBAM (3.0.6 free version) showed me that it hadn't ran any scans in my system, and it's main menu showed zero on the amount of scanned files (a number which comes larger every time I've performed a scan with it) like if the program's "cache" had cleared itself, but the program's log files were all still in there. Also the settngs I had made were reset.
