Your thoughts on the ultraportable PC?

designed by samsung and intel what are your thoughts?

it is also known as project oragami by Microsoft although I think they mostly just supplyed a modified version of XP for it

to me this seems like a more powerful PDA and how many of those do you see around today? heck even apple dumped their Newton message pad

I may be wrong but I think it will be a quite a few more years before those portable things will become worth while ... especially concidering the price.    :P

I saw a very brief piece on it in either the Gadget Show UK Channel5 or in the news from Hanover/Germany Consumer Electronics venue. To me it looked like a cut down version of the failed MS Tablet PCs.

I think it falls between being to large for everyday carrying about (PDA/Blackberry ;D for that) or too small to be really useful (Laptop/notebook for that) and too darn pricey to be a realistic option.
