There is a known problem with the scan that should be fixed in a future release.
What "fix" are you talking about or expecting  ???

A full system scan takes over an hour on one of my machines. The percentage complete stays at zero for about half that time before it starts to increment upwards.  It did the same with previous versions.

I was not sure I would be able to add that file I tried to put it here before and then could not find it again... so here it is... no idea what it is as I only speak and read English... something I thought was from avast not sure why it came like it did.

Still mucking about trying to sort things yes I know I don't know how to do this I will wait long for a full scan

What do I want Bob...hm.  I want the avast program to run thru all the way... I want to be able to see a file in quarantine when it tells me it put one there... that is for starters.  I did a boot scan today and it came up with some goodies to lock up.  I have had some odd results and lots of oh ohs something went wrongs... I want one smooth run thru that makes sense even to me.

I have no clue why I have that message or what language it is in.
I came up awhile back then disappeared and I could not find it till today.
The results of a full scan from 7:40 pm to 9:56 pm tonight had the counter sitting at exactly 0% scanned... I closed it and a popup from avast said )% scanned... I went back into avast and got a message the scan was complete and the computer was fine.

If there are no answers soon I think I want my money back. :(

Is your Avast installed with Defaults,  is Persisant Cache on?  my average time for a full scan is about 20 minutes if I have all drives connected, but mine some reason doesn't stay on 0 the whole time though, though mine was clean installed when I got the SSD at End of February, perhaps that makes a difference in my shorter scan time

That was all Chinese to me Patrick.. I am  novice at best... have a new page to share...one I got while uninstalling mwb
Server Error in '/genuine' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>
