Author Topic: Installed instance of Avast for Business not appearing in Network > Devices  (Read 2889 times)

Hi all,

I've recently rolled out Avast for Business throughout a number of our users and on the hole this has went well. Unfortunately however when inviting one of Mac user in particular (via email where they subsequently download the Avast application) they are not appearing in the Devices section of the Network tab within the admin console. This seems to be very strange as any other user (including Mac users) who have installed the application via this approach all seem to appear in that section. Is this something anyone has encountered before or knows how to fix?

I've tried reinstalling the application and rebooting etc to ensure any changes have taken affect but no luck to this point. The version installed on the Mac is 12.5.

Any advice would be appreciated.

So, it doesn't show up on the portal homepage as a device to activate either?

Is it possible this device has a duplicate name of another device?

Thanks for your reply - yes you're correct it doesn't show up to activate - however the software appears to be installed without issue.

It is quite possible that that is the case actually.

Can confirm that I have now changed the the mac's name to ensure it's definitely unique. I've reinstalled the software but unfortunately the same results.
