UI failed to load
« on: February 15, 2017, 10:49:04 AM »
Hi folks.

Today i had a strange.... accident: when tried to open Avast panel i saw a message (look at screen-shot down here).

I solved this problem by using "repair" from control panel. So... it works agane (at least for now). But it was... strange (i did nothin - this happend immediately after the start of the "windows"). I never saw it before,  and i dont know - what caused this.

So i just... share this - for any case.

Hi All,

I just wanted to report that I had this issue today as well with the latest version of Avast free AV (17.1.2286) and repaired as per this thread.

I am running Win7 Pro SP1.

Cheers,
Mike T.

Ohh, this one is different, mine tells me my protection is not running and with the GUI not running of course I am cut off from all help and succour.

That the Avast service module cannot tell that the Avast GUI module is not running correctly, and report this back to base, bespeaks a certain weakness in your supposedly secure software.

Something I have pointed out before!!!!    >:(

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:
