Avast is out of date !
« on: March 13, 2017, 02:26:41 AM »
On home user interface it says that you are protected,  avast is out of date - update. The thing is when I checked updates my virus definitions are up to date current version 170312-0 received few minutes ago. Of course I am aware that a new programme is available version 17 which is mentioned in the update section. Wouldn't you say that this is kind of misleading ? I have the habit to install only final versions on my system. This is not a rant. Just saying.  ;)

Hey Asyn! Yes technically speaking you are right. What I was trying to say is that on the UI it could say that avast is up to date as it did in previous versions and mention that a new programme version is available because users might get confused and click on the update and end up with a version which for reasons of their own did not want to. Anyway that is a mere detail.
Thank you for the link , yes I am aware of the ongoing developments, I think I'll have to wait a bit until certain things have been sorted out.
Cheers  :)
