Avast Popup Catagory Explanation
« on: March 17, 2017, 03:52:31 PM »
On a Mac within Avast's preferences, within tools, popups, there are four top settings: updates, infos, warnings, alerts.

I'd like to know what these categories are for. Meaning, is there a list that shows what they reference, or are there example messages from them?

I'm thinking some items can be ignored (e.g. general updates), but others you'd want to know about (e.g. virus found).

Thank you!

  • updates - program and VPS updates (accomplished)
  • infos - eg. install offers, updates available
  • warning - eg. scheduled scan not run, incompatible SW detected, ...
  • alerts - all virus detection related stuff
