Can't download torrents
« on: March 20, 2017, 03:58:15 AM »
Whenever I have avast web shield on I can not download or upload any data through a torrent. This is a huge inconvenience because that is how me and my friends send files to each other so we don't have to use sites like 4hsared and 1ficher with their download speed caps. Is there anyway to get this to work with web-shield? I've added qbitorrent to my list of exclusions, but its still not sending or receiving any data.

After hours of digging I figured it out. I'm just posting the solution I found because it might be of use to others. There are multiple ways to add exclusions so you have to follow these steps.

Click settings at bottom.
Click components on left side.
Click customize on web shield.
Click exclusions on left side.
Scroll down to processes to exclude.
Add your torrent program to list of exclusions.
