It's my understanding that Mozilla refuses to allow avast permission, at least that's what avast told me when I asked.

The last time someone asked on another thread here, Avast said they were working on it and another user pointed out that Eset supports Firefox.

Hi guys, I am sorry to inform you that some other priorities have come up and at the moment there are not plans on adding Web Shield support for Firefox. Thanks for understanding.
