Avast resetting my boot drive?
« on: March 23, 2017, 04:49:03 PM »
So this morning I booted up my computer to get the message that Windows 10 wouldn't load properly.  After talking with my computer designer (I lost my boot disk in our move recently) we went through bios and found out that the main boot drive had been moved in priority from when he set this up.

He asked what I did last night and I ran through the events with him.

I was gaming and my computer froze up, so I ctrl+alt+del and restarted the computer.
After my computer reset, Avast popped up and told me that the newest version had been successfully installed.

I looked at the new Avast seeing that the layout was completely revamped

Then I booted my computer up today and experienced this issue.

Since my designer doesn't know much about the new avast and that I'm running multiple hard drives on my computer, he sent me to inquire via Avast to see if anyone had experienced this problem before since Avasts update was the most prominent thing that stuck out.

Did Avasts new update reset my boot drive priorities?  There was nothing else of note I did yesterday that comes to mind.
