Hi Pondus,

I scanned the file while in the virus chest but it just completed and did not say anything.

If I scan it tomorrow and the file is safe, would it disappear from the Virus chest? Or if the file is a virus and I scan it, should it state that there is a virus in the file?

Andy

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

The file is Autoupdateclient.exe. I am not sure what that is used for but I will leave the file in the virus chest.

Andy
The question is auto update what ??? Without more information, that's not a question any one can answer.
Best to sent it to Avast as requested.

Hi Bob,

Does submitting the file through the virus lab upload the particular file that was quarantined or just send a report to Avast?

No you have to restore it, and a copy will remain in chest ... if/when all is OK you may delete the copy from chest

I did give you link to how use the chest
