There was a problem in older version of Avast Free with false positive for "Weak router password".  It had been fixed in older version.  After update to 17.3.2291, the false positive is back.

Settings->General->Status monitoring->Behavior Shield check box doesn't work. Regardless if it's checked or not it shows warning symbol in systray.

Have you opened the avastUI > Settings > Components section and ensure that it isn't disabled. If it is enable it, as we/I have seen one instance of this in the forums, if it is disabled the status monitoring may not apply.

Reboot after any enabling of the behaviour shield and see if that resolves it, if not try an avast repair.

Yep, it's a known bug.

As of the most recent changes to Behavior Shield and Web Shield:

Every Ford Dealership hates you. You've caused undue distress on systems by blocking years long functioning aspects of websites, that are currently no longer working thanks to what ever was changed, my fix was to turn both of these shields off completely ( #FORD #AVAST #BehaviorShield #WebShield) . DealerConnection.com is allergic to your new patch...I'm really ready to change off of Avast since this is just dumb. There's also a Dealership website called ADP/CDK ...they've changed their name to CDK but a majority of their terrible software is branded ADP still... I mention this due to despite them being terrible, your new shield adjustments have made their site completely inoperable.

In addition... the ArcSoft Blu-ray/DVD Windows Software doesn't function with Avast enabled. Craps out and cried about a Debugger Running... disable Avast until Reboot ... it magically starts to work. Whatever you did to change these shields is worse than better and extremely frustrating when having to considering AVAST an issue when it /was/ NEVER a problem.

Please check this out, you're fucking something up.

This version of Avast is very buggy. Causing web browsing issues and I can't play my games without low frame rates. I want the old version back. This needs prompt attention. I turned many of the protection features off just so I can browse the web and play my games. Way too many bugs.  :o

I have Avast interenet security 17.3.2291. Windows 10 x 64 bits

When I open the program I see a screen with the text "UI faild to load. This is realy embressing. AV Service is not responding." (see enclosure)

I have tried the button "restart service" but after that i will see the same screen.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:

If the Avast Repair doesn't resolve it.

See this post by chris05  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=201308.msg1388987#msg1388987, it would appear that the Terminal Service isn't running for some reason. He has two links in that post.

Check and see if your Terminal Service is started in relation two these posts.

It has to be said, I bought 3 x 3 yr licenses and am utterly stunned at the unstable "unfinished" nature of this software!!

Never encountered this sort of issue before

Seriously unimpressed!!

I'd like to use the current german version of Avast Free (downloaded today). I already have the license code for the current Avast Free, but I can't find, where to enter the code (see attached screenshot). I already had the same problem a month ago. Do you have any ideas, how to solve it?

I would suggest that you stick to your own new topic https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=199956.0. This topic is already very large and your post/s are likely to get buried, this also makes it harder to help as the information is spread over many posts in a large topic.
