Broken Avast
« on: April 08, 2017, 06:51:56 PM »
I am highly dissatisfied with Avast as of late. To describe as broken shit would be an understatement.
The issues I am having is, the anti virus software fails to function entirely for no damn good reason at all. If i decide to restart my pc, turn it off or if a randomly loose power ie power outage etc. upon start of the pc which is running windows 10 pro, I reacive The UI has failed to load Av service not responding, clicking restart does nothing, I found a solution that is starting the avast repair utility but that does not fix it either, Because i have to restart the pc again just for Avast to work, and if i turn off the pc  or something, the same issue repeats. The pc has been checked multiple times has no virsus or corrupt data, all ssds and hdds are brand new and have been checked windows is upto date and all drivers including jva and flash c++ etc. Im looking for a permanent solution to fixing this broken ass anti virus that cant seem to function if you restart your pc every time and re run repair utility.

Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.
That should solve things.

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
