Google must have tightened up their security.
I've now received this twice while using the Google search.

Hi bob3160,

What do you think about the Google-Doubleclick merger? Don't know if the get the green light in Europe, but then the court there never turned a merger down in second instance. Anyways less choice for all of us.

Damien,
Google is a business not a charity and I'm sure this is good for their corporate profit margin.  :)

In this country,  the courts seem to approve mergers for some and turn down others.
Usually they should have approved the ones they turned down and approve the ones they turned down.  ;D

Here's a scary thought...

What If Gmail Had Been Designed by Microsoft?

Quote
Today I want to ponder the question: what if Microsoft, not Google, had created Gmail? What would be the differences in that web mail client for users today? What if we apply some of the same design rules that brought us Hotmail, for instance?

-----

Because of Gmail and Google calendar, I no longer have to take a laptop on business trips. I have a home page built on igoogle, that gives me access to everything I want on the road. When I have a few free minutes, I just use a client's computer to log in. Haven't used docs, but that will probably be next. My opinion of Google in general, is that they're good guys. I'm just not that paranoid, I guess.

If by this statement you mean that I use Google, then your correct.
Here are just a few Google goodies that I use:

I can probably find 100 more   but that doesn't make me a "Google Geek"  ;D ;D
I consider myself a "Savvy Googler"  :)

As far I know, you can block Google Analytics with NoScript.

Yes, if they use a cookie it is worse than a script as it can store data.
