The new avast Behavior Shield is causing a Error
« on: April 04, 2017, 12:09:22 AM »
Today after my avast updated, I tried to launch a online game i play and got error "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000005)" and I was playing so said game earlier and as a technical engineer one the first things we ask ourselves what has changed, which was without a doubt Avast. At first i thought it was the game mode component but that was not the case. I then proceeded to turn off the shields and retested, online game came up so I turn off and on behavior shield and file system shield to see which one is at fault it end up being behavior shield.

Cause of problem is probably due to that as a gamer I tend to have 3rd party apps in the background which increase system performance, take in game replays among other things that gamer uses in game/just have in a background when a game usual loads/starts. In Summary Behavior Shield might be causing unintended conflicts with 3party apps and crashing games on start .
