avast hotmail problem

i had a slight problem with webshield the other day.
when checking my msn mail a win32:Swen virus was detected and the only option was
end connection.
could you put in an option to continue transfor?
i lost all my mail

msn premium 9 ???

p.s got a pop account so i can participate in avast.
cant submit chest files without one

The Web Shield was just doing its job and prevented an infected file to be downloaded to your computer. If you really want to download the infected file, you can pause/stop the Web Shield temporarily - but I don't think it would be a good idea to put such an option into the virus dialog - people may click it by mistake.

I'm not familiar with MSN, so I really don't know how this is connected to an e-mail loss.

my guess would be that msn deleted the in box during the transfor and did not wait for it
to complete.

it's supposed to have virus scanning but as for as i can tell it only scans the messages
as you open them individually. maybe if you put several warning windows on an override or maybe a typed responce to allow for continuing
