What is stated about your license in your
avast account ?
Is it already used by a device ?
In this case , can you delete it ? And try again inserting file.
Always in your account , have you more than "Download licence" , also "Activation code"
I had almost the same problem
HereSupport avast said me to try with activation code instead of licence file and it works well
