Avast & ACDSee 10 Pro
« on: April 27, 2017, 08:44:20 PM »
Hi, ive recently installed Avast Internet Security and i noticed that my ACDSee 10 Pro gets really slow and sluggish when working on RAW Files. Ive put it into the exclusions and also in gaming mode but unfortunately that didnt help.

Any suggestions what i can do to improve that ?

A good start would be to check which part of avast is causing the (possible) problem and providing more information.

What exact OS/SP/Build ?
What exact avast version ?
Is there any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)
What (if any) shield is causing the problem ?

What exact OS/SP/Build ? Windows 10 1607 Build 14393.1066
What exact avast version ? Avast IS 17.3.2290
Is there any other security (related) software installed ? No.
What (if any) shield is causing the problem ? Not sure what you mean here.

Thanks a lot.

You have a old(er) version of avast installed.
I would start with performing a clean installation of the latest version with the off-line installer and see if the problem is solved.

I did a clean install of V17.3.2291 (build 17.3.3443.0). Unfortunately that didnt help either.
I have the folllowing shields installed:

File
Behavior
Mail
Web
Real Site
Firewall
Gaming Mode

Check which shield is causing the problem.
Disable one, check.
If nothing changes, enable it again and disable the next one.

Ive tested the different shields and the problem was the gaming mode.
