Your log shows disconnections from the avast update server.   :(   Looks as if you are trying to update using the online installer tool.

Additionally, another reason could be an active real-time a/v program running at the time you are downloading, actively breaking the download connection.

Download the full installer from here:  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=199715.0

Remove all old a/v's using tools from here:  https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle and here:  https://singularlabs.com/uninstallers/security-software/

Reboot after removal and also when avast install is completed.
